SLIPPER ISLAND SHORT BREAK Slipper Island off coast of Pauanui
Saturday 4th February to Monday 6th February 2012 (Waitangi Weekend)
Details: Come camping on beautiful Slipper Island. Stay right on the beach front at South Bay. Go fishing, swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, play volleyball or just vege out in the sun with a book. Good walking tracks around the island.
Further info: Boat transfer arranged for Saturday morning at approximately 10am from Pauanui (dependant on tides). Cars can be left at jetty. Return Monday afternoon.
Bring: All camping equipment, Your own food and bait for fishing (optional). Nothing available on the island. Good drinking water available at campsite. Bring fishing equipment and kayaks if you have your own. There is a camp kitchen with cold running water. Gas BBQ and stove will be available for use. Cold showers and flushing toilets on site. Limited solar showers will be available. Some freezer storage available.
Cost: Camping $20 per head per night ($40).
Boat transfer $65.00 return (minimum of 4 people)
Pay by: cash or cheque on the island.
Confirm: by 25 January 2012 as boat nos. need to be confirmed for the transfer.
